The Admissions Committee will begin reviewing all master's degree program applications on January 31 for acceptance. The committee will continue to accept applications for the master's degree programs on a rolling basis until June 1.

Scholarship Dates

Once an applicant is admitted by the University, the School of Architecture and Planning will be in contact with each admitted student to provide information opportunities for scholarship possibilities as well as teaching and research assistant positions.

Requirements

A minimum of a 2.8 GPA in undergraduate studies is required, though a 3.0 GPA is strongly desired. 

Portfolios should be uploaded to the essays section of your application or emailed to cua-gradadmissions@cua.edu

Minimum Required Documents for Graduate Admissions

  • Catholic University application and fee
  • Statement of Purpose (typically one or two pages covering academic and professional goals)
  • Resume
  • Three (3) letters of reference, including at least one non-academic.
  • Portfolio, where required by program
  • Request for Financial Assistance/Application for Teaching and/or Research Assistantship (if desiring financial support)
  • Unofficial Transcript from each college or university attended. Unofficial Transcripts in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified translated version.  Official transcripts are required upon acceptance.
  • GRE requirements have been waived

CUArch accepts students for graduate study in the fall, spring, and summer semesters, depending upon the academic program.

*Please note that all M.Arch. 3 students apply into the summer term and must enroll in a 6-credit hour course during the month of July, followed by full-time studies in the fall.
