Ana Carola Cruz is an Architecture major from San Juan, PR. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the School of Architecture and Planning, and what advice she has for prospective students.

Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the School of Architecture?

"I chose Catholic because not only is the campus is lovely, but also it's located in the nation’s capital. Both Catholic and D.C. offer limitless opportunities that I know will help me succeed. I chose the Architecture program here because of the IPAL program, and only 24 other schools provide it as well. Needless to say, its amazing to have the opportunity to study here."

Why did you choose to study Architecture?

"I chose to study architecture because I was always been fascinated by the way people interact with their surroundings. It combines my passion for art and design with my interest in creating functional and sustainable buildings. It’s all about the experience you can create."

What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?

"My favorite parts of being a student are the environment and the community. Everyone is so friendly, including students, faculty, and administration. They are always open to help. Catholic is home."

What advice would you give to prospective students?

"Get involved in the community, whether it's sports or clubs; get out there! Stay organized, take care of yourself and enjoy every minute because it goes by so quick."
