Draw your own inspiration and change the world around you with a degree in Architecture. Washington, D.C. becomes a living design laboratory for our students. The city’s museums, historical sites, the world's largest research library (the Library of Congress), and all the iconic buildings and monuments from the city are just a short Metro ride away.
Our students get to explore design, theory, and construction at one of the only 22 architecture schools in the country to offer the Integrated Path to Licensure (IPAL) program.
Our principles are critically informed by the relationships between ethical, religious, philosophical, and societal potential architecture holds. We see our discipline as more than just a profession; it is a profound opportunity to shape the world for the better — a concept we are mindful of as we strive toward “building stewardship” for society in all that we do.

Students will jump right into the world of design, through fundamental elements, architectural history, and new emerging technologies. Architecture students will also gain full access to our Fabrication Lab, where they will put 3D printers, laser cutters, and computer model buildings to the test.

Catholic believes all people on this planet have a duty to preserve and protect the environment in which we live. For Catholic students, they believe in putting that practice into effect. This minor combines the liberal arts and sciences — ethics, social sciences, science and technology — with courses that focus on the practice of sustainability.
